Fantasy Rugby Stats is a free analytics companion for Super Rugby Pacific fantasy managers who want a bit more.
Why it exists
The site started as a personal attempt to learn how to use AI tools for development and to give me an edge in fantasy rugby. I am still losing ;)
The backstory
Coming from years of NFL fantasy football, I was used to having serious data at my fingertips: matchup splits, weather, usage context, and all the little signals that help you make a better decision. PlayFantasyRugby.com gives you the official game and the core scoring data, which is a great starting point. What I kept wanting was the extra analytical layer on top of that.
So I built the tool I wanted to use myself. It started as a way to learn modern web development with AI assistance on a real project I cared about. As it became more useful each week, I kept polishing it and turned it into something other fantasy managers could use too.
The site is built around the actual decisions fantasy managers make during the week, not just raw stats in isolation.
Search, filter by position or team, and sort across the full player pool by name, price, points, averages, ownership, and recent output.
Track every player through the season with round charts, stat breakdowns, and cumulative totals for tries, tackles, metres, linebreaks, and more.
Use matchup intelligence to see which teams concede the most fantasy points to each position and where the soft spots are this week.
Check upcoming fixtures alongside venue forecasts so rain, wind, and storm risk are part of your weekly decision-making.
Get weekly projections, captaincy ideas, differential options, and a saved shortlist for the next playable round.
Open the site and start using it immediately. The goal is practical fantasy help, not friction.
Actively developed / Just for fun.
This is still a living project. There is more to build around comparison tools, trend views, and richer fixture intelligence, and the product keeps getting shaped by what is most useful during an actual fantasy week.
If something looks off or there is a feature that would make the site meaningfully better, that feedback is genuinely useful.
